#3 Hebron vs #7 Duncanville 2026
Duncanville and Hebron met in the Volleypalooza Gold Bracket semifinal on Aug. 29, 2026 with Hebron earning a hard-fought 2–1 victory (17–25, 25–22, 25–20). Duncanville came out strong by taking the opening set, but Hebron responded by winning the next two sets to advance. Duncanville’s Peyton Smith was one of the match’s biggest offensive contributors, finishing with 21 kills and a .294 hitting percentage. Smith had already been a major factor throughout the tournament, including 18 kills against Tomball and 19 against Round Rock.
Hebron’s comeback highlighted the team’s resilience and depth, particularly considering coach Rachel Buckley said afterward that several players were battling illness during the tournament. Marley Rogers, Hebron’s senior middle, was named the tournament’s MVP after helping the Hawks go 9–0 at Volleypalooza and win the championship. Duncanville also had a strong tournament overall, finishing 23–4 after the weekend, and Peyton Smith was selected to the Volleypalooza all-tournament team. The result gave Hebron a signature tournament win over a nationally ranked Duncanville squad before the Hawks went on to defeat Prestonwood Christian in the championship match.
